Funko Pops and BBQ
Over the weekend my boyfriend and I took a trip to IKEA to buy more shelves for our funko-pop collection. Anyone who knows us knows how much we have grown this collection (mostly him) and the amount of money invested. The shelving we got was very nice and affordable but damn, IKEA makes you put in that work to assemble everything. I thought it was all smooth sailing and completed it within 30 minutes but having to mount it to the wall to prevent it from tipping over was a trip. I swear to god, this took another 30 minutes cause mfs didn’t provide the two screws I needed to mount it. I had to get creative and eventually figure it out. Overall, I can say that he is happy with the outcome and that makes me happy as well. Plus it looks sick.
Today, I finally had the chance to barbecue after waiting for the perfect weather. After all the shit weather we had I finally made the time to pop open the grill. The day was bright and clear, ideal for outdoor cooking. I also decided to get in some jump roping while waiting for the coals. Did you know jump roping has many benefits? It’s a highly efficient cardiovascular workout that gets the heart pumping and the blood flowing, helping to improve cardiovascular health and endurance. Additionally, jump roping is excellent for burning calories and aiding weight loss or management. It engages multiple muscle groups, including the legs, arms, and core, making it a full-body workout that strengthens muscles and improves overall coordination and balance. Furthermore, it's a versatile exercise that can be done almost anywhere, requiring minimal equipment and space. Whether used as a warm-up, a standalone workout, or incorporated into a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) routine, jump roping offers an effective and enjoyable way to boost fitness levels and achieve health goals. That didn’t last too long because the steak and chicken I made was GAS. I must say, in spring it is cold af outside. I will never get used to the Midwest weather. One day it’s 70s then the next is the 30s. Today was one of those sunny cold days that made being outside enjoyable. I am thankful for that and at least I could get fresh air instead of staring at my screen all day.
I know, I am lackin on my blogs recently but it’s alright because we got it done. I am honestly feeling a lot better and productive today on my day off more than anything and I am so happy for the progress I made over the last two days. I was able to read my bible and get myself closer to God. I made some tea and relaxed a bit, ate good food, and got a workout in for the day. I will take this dub and prepare myself for a long week of work.
