We love Monday’s
Today is not off to the best start. IT DIDN’T START TODAY THOUGH. I had the worst fucking pain of my life starting Saturday evening. Here I am just enjoying my din din and I feel a pain on my bottom right tooth. This was weird to me as I got a root canal on that specific tooth so the nerve should be dead right? I got it over 3 years ago so in theory, there should be no problem. Not to mention it is already capped so it should be fine. I take some Ibuprofen hoping it will help the pain and it will be gone in the morning. Come Sunday morning my mouth and my jaw are HURTIN. I still take more Ibuprofen and the pain subsides but it still hurts to chew on that side of my mouth. Since it is the weekend, the dentist isn’t open so I decided to wait until 8:00 am Monday to give them a call to get this straightened out and hope they can do an x-ray to see what is going on. I call them first thing in the morning and I am sent straight to their automated voicemail telling me that the office is closed. Naturally, I am thinking “Okay maybe they are just settling in, no big deal. I will call in 30 minutes”. 30 minutes pass and I get the same automated voice message telling me that the office is closed. There is a number to text in case of emergencies for their current patient. I sent a text hoping that they would respond soon. About another hour passes and I am a little concerned at this point. I decided just to drive up there and get an appointment myself. I see cars in the parking lot so I had some hope that the office would open and I would be seen. Then I saw a sign on the door that said “We are sorry for the inconvenience but we are closed due to renovations. The office will reopen on March 11th”. Somewhere along those lines and now I am boiling. I have to wait a whole week and endure this pain till the office is open. I’m sure if worse comes to worst, I will have to go to urgent care dental or something but do you know how much that’s gonna cost? I don’t know either but probably A LOT of money. My dental insurance isn’t the greatest but the dental office I attend does good work and treats me well so I guess my only option is to wait it out and keep poppin these pills. It sucks more than anything to have to wait it out and not know when the pain will reappear. Last night was pretty bad. I didn’t fall asleep until 2 am because of how much pain I was in.
Not sure if any of you had a toothache before but I don’t wish this type of pain upon anyone. You lose your appetite and the pain stays on your mind because it can cause some headaches. Luckily for me, I haven’t encountered pain while taking Ibuprofen but I remember a time that it wasn’t as effective as when I started it. So right now that is probably my biggest worry as I have a tournament on Sunday and league on Wednesday. Having this might hinder my performance. This blog could have been a review but I am not the type of person to shit on a business through online reviews. If it was a different store then maybe but nah. It is so unfortunate on my end that this pain pops up and my dental office is under renovations. Perfect timing if you ask me.
I took this time to b*tch about it to my boyfriend and my mom and well… here. I took my anger and stress with me to Walmart and bought more Pokemon cards just cause. My wallet cried but better than my eyes. I could’ve done that as a cheaper alternative but it’s alright might save that for later. I called out of work to not be seen today so I am also losing money. All I can do is pray and ask God to watch over me as this will be a long week. Catch me on Fortnite though grindin’ through the pain.
