Weekend Hustle

You might be surprised to hear that I've come to enjoy working on Saturdays. While it might sound counterintuitive to enjoy spending a weekend day at the office, there's something uniquely satisfying about the calm, the focus, and the opportunity it brings. Not to mention at least I am getting paid for doing minimal work.

Picture this: Saturday morning rolls around, and instead of lazing around at home or rushing through cleaning, I head to work. And you know what? It's not half bad. In fact, it's become a time I look forward to sometimes. Let me walk you through why.

First off, there's this calm atmosphere that is my office. With most of my colleagues taking the day off, the usual hustle and bustle are replaced by a quietness that doesn’t really stress me out as much. It's like having the whole place to myself, because I do literally have it to myself. I can spread out, get comfortable, and dive into my tasks without any distractions.

Speaking of tasks, Saturdays are when I get to tackle all those things that have been lingering on my to-do list. Whether it's organizing files, updating spreadsheets, or drafting important emails, I have the uninterrupted time I need to really focus and get things done. Organizing the files I have is the most time-consuming thing so I leave it to the end of the week as I can use up my time a little quicker. It's amazing how much I can accomplish when I'm not constantly being pulled in different directions and when customers or coworkers are asking me for things.

And then there's the joy of catching up on my own work. During the busy weekdays, it's easy for personal projects to get pushed aside in favor of more pressing matters. But on Saturdays, I have the freedom to devote my attention to whatever needs my TLC. It could be a passion project, a side hustle, or even just some personal admin tasks that have been piling up. Whatever it is, I relish the opportunity to make progress and move things forward.

Of course, it's not all nose-to-the-grindstone. One of the perks of Saturdays at work is the leisurely pace. Sure, I have my responsibilities, like answering the occasional phone call from customers, but for the most part, it's pretty quiet. I can take breaks when I want, enjoy a snack, and maybe even sneak in a game on my switch. It's like having the best of both worlds—productivity and relaxation.

So, while it might seem strange to some, I've come to appreciate the peace and productivity that Saturdays at work afford me. It's become a time for me to recharge, refocus, and set myself up for success in the week ahead. Who knew that embracing the weekend hustle could lead to such a sense of fulfillment?
